as the school year comes to a close

It been a while since my last post...

As this year starts to come to an end I am excited to see what the summer and next year have in store for me... Be on the look out for my summer posts... This will be my last post of the school year!!

[OMG!!! i FORGOT LiZA]*

This is a continuation of [MY CRAZiES]* due to my complete stupidity!!

Liza Dye [The Original SYT Negro]*

Liza Dye is one of the Craziest people in he whole entire world! She has never failed to brighten a dull moment. She played one of my favorite roles in a SYT show... She was the White Witch form The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. Therefor we dubbed her the BLACK white witch :). Liza always had fun at our youth theatre gatherings... by fun I meanshe would sit there and be like "wtf... why is everyone dancing?.... anain!". I love Liza Dye to death and feell so TERRIBLE for forgetting her in my pervious post!!! LOVE YOU LIZA... we need to play a game of hide the negro soon!!! :)

[the biggest night in hollywood]*

Being a theatre kid there are truly only two award show I look forward to. One of those award show happened tonight [The Oscars]* and the other happens June 7, 2009 [The Tony Awards]*. Tonight at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood California the Oscars opened with host Hue Jackman's opening number. A well sung medley about the past year and the movies that have come out of it. With a ever changing props and stylized set pieces was a wonderful way to start the show.

One thing I really loved about the Oscars this year was how the production designed used the stage. The Production design for the 81st Oscars was almost Broadway like. From the big band swing club feel when the orchestra was on stage to the rough "tech" feel the stage had during the more production oriented awards. To top off the amazing production design was the extravagant Sworski crystal curtain that hung in an arch at the front of the stage. Simply beautiful!!

About Half way through an already AmAzInG award show Hue Jackman comes on to the stage for a salute to movie musicals. As the truly brilliant medley begins Hue is joined by a chorus of male dancers all dressed in tuxedos with tails and top hats. Suddenly Beyonce' appears and joins the musical number. Hue and Beyonce' looked lovely together. Before this movie musical tribute come to an end Hue and Beyonce' were joined on stage by Zac Effron, Vanessa Hudgens, Domini Cooper, & Amanda Seyfried!!!! This year's Oscars were truly a wonderfully staged show!

Some of the awards I was excited to see presented were:

~ Best Original Screenplay: Dustin Lance Black for "Milk"
~ Best Costume Design: "The Duchess"
~ Best Animated Feature: "Wall-E"
~ Best Supporting Actor: Heath Ledger for "The Dark Night"
~ Best Leading Actor: Sean Penn for "Milk"

All in all I was so overly pleased with the Oscar telecast that I was moved to tears and even experienced some screaming attacks I got so excited!! The Oscars have set the award show standard for 2009!!! Now can't wait for the Tonys!!!!!

[MY CRAZiES]*

Friend - n. A person whom one knows, likes, and trusts. This is the dictionary definition of the word friend. On a real level this definition could take up pages of writing. A friend: someone one cares for in times of need and struggle. A person one shares their deepest darkest secrets with. A person one loves unconditionally and does not hurt.

I define my friends more as a part of me... a sort of extension of my body because I would not be who I am today if it were not for the AMAZING friend that have come into my life. I call my friends My Crazies, simply because when we are together we usually act CRAZY and we have a blast because of it!

Maggie Calton [Magsical]*



Maggie is a a wonderfully crazy girl and I love er because of it. I met Maggie when I was in the 9th grade. We were in a Spartanburg Youth Theatre show together... "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever". Ever since I have gotten to know Maggie more and more with every show we are in. I love this girl more than she will ever know. I can talk to her about anything and everything and that is a wonderful relationship to have with a person.

Kristen Bell [KBeezy]*



Kristen Bell and I met when we both went to see the Spartanburg Little Theatre's production of The Wizard of Oz. We both knew people in the show but did not actually know each other until intermission of the show. We quickly became friends by poking fun at a musical number in the show where our friends were dressed up as pansies and had to stand on stage and sway their arms pretty much. It was a wonderful way to make such a great friend. From then on we have been very close spending time together in shows and going to get coffee and just hanging out. We both share an INTENSE obsession with the musical Legally Blonde [march 27th]*!!!!!!!!! And while I will most likely get killed for the picture of her I put on here, she knows I love her and I know she loves me. Enough said! :)

Brittany Benson [Lil' Sis]*



Brittany is my lil' sis and she is a GREAT friend!! This past year was hard because Brittany and her family moved to Wisconsin. I go visit as much as I can though... we have fun and act like fools when we are together... and like every bro and sis we have our arguments and fights... most of are fights are retarded play fights, but non the less we are a great pair or crazy kids!!! Love ya Sis!!!!

Rachell Rogers [Giggles]*



Rachelle... where to begin... Well we had Biology 101 together first semester this year and what an experience that was... Our teacher... well some inside jokes for me and Rachelle... out to ya elbows, "Say again...", and what does she do with her Bio book?. bahahaha!!! fun times in Biology. After Bio I sorta helped Rachelle leave someone divorced with 7 or 8 kids... (again another inside joke). All in all I am happy to have Rachelle as a friend. She is AMAZING and I don't think I would survive here at SMC without her!!

Catherine King [Lil' Pale Feather]*



Catherine and I just met this past September because we were both involved in the Spartanburg Little Theatre's production of Peter Pan. She is one amazing friend. Any time with Catherine King is fun, crazy, and unpredictable!!! From crying together after Peter Pan rehearsals to late night meals at Papa's Breakfast Nook I love spending time with my little insanely pale friend!! Love ya Cat!!!!

Paulia Hughes [SuperStar]*



Paulia, well she is Paulia... lol. I met Paulia this past fall here at SMC. I'm sure at first she was like "Who in the h*** is this crazt white boy talking to me." but obviously I grew on her!!! Paulia and I had Western Civ. (the class I almost failed) together and she was in the SMC fall production. She played the role of a suicidal teenager. Not the ideal role for a girl with a peppy upbeat personality, but she was of course MAGNIFICENT!! Paulia is another one of my closest friends at SMC and I wouldn't have it any other way!

Nelson Jones [Boy Whore]*



I just met Nelson earlier this month, but in this short amount of time he has done nothing but be a great friend. I would like to state for the record that Nelson is not in any way a whore... it's just a nickname. Nelson is a great guy and does a great job both on stage and on the production side of theatre. I hope as time goes on Nelson and I get to hang out and get to know each more and become the great friend I know we can be.

There you go... you have met [MY CRAZiES]*. The people that keep me going on a day to day basis and I couldn't thank them enough for all they do for me!!!! I love each and every one of them. :)
